gExtractor was successfully used for extracting Camelid germline from NGS data. It was capable of extracting from assembled BAC all lama VH germline gene is a single run.

A BAC with Lama VH germline genes was sequenced using Ion-Torrent technology. After the assembly of the 600,000 Ion-Torrent reads of ±120 bp, Lama VH germline genes should be extracted from the assembled contig.
